On mission with Jesus in a suffering world

In this conference for Jesus followers, we will reimagine our understanding of the suffering in communities and our responsibility and response toward it.

We will explore concepts and practices of emotional regulation and the formation of safety in community in ways that are theologically sound, spiritual rooted, and psychologically informed.

Workshop Breakdown:

  • Session 1: A Suffering World.Understanding suffering and trauma

  • Session 2: The Responsibility to See.Reimagining our personal response to pain and suffering

  • Session 3: The Response to Hold.Reimagining our church’s posture, practices, and ways of engaging on Sundays and beyond

Cost:

  • CWC hosted conferences: $55/person (in person trainings include a SLOW Journal)

  • Church hosted conferences: Determined by host community

About the Presenter

BrianJames McMahon is a licensed therapist, pastor, and consultant who has committed his life to creating safer spaces for brave community within the Church at local, regional, and national levels.

Based out of Kansas City, Missouri he is the creator of the SLOW Journal and founder of Church Well Co, an organization that creates space of brave relationship for pastors, churches, and leaders. BrianJames and his team facilitate Pastoral Care Groups for church leaders across the country creating space and community for pastors and church leaders to deepen relationship, practice bravery together, and find healing for pain. 

As a licensed marriage and family therapist BrianJames runs a private practice in Kansas City where he works with pastors and followers of Jesus to find healing from pain, overcome barriers to connection, unlock potential, and grow into who they are becoming.
